Ashleigh started her learning academy with her neuro-divergent son in mind! Education should be enjoyable. Every child has their own pace and it is not a race. Ashleigh make the student's day a positive and enriching experience in safe & comfortable learning environment. Instruction is provided using hands on activities, inquiry based investigations & project based learning opportunities.

We created Whole Child Learning Academy to bridge the gap between our children’s developmental needs and emotional needs.This microschool will give your children strong academic skills with a positive and nurturing environment.
ASHLEIGH NICHOLS
Director/Founder/ Caterpillar Pod
Ashleigh is a half day Caterpillar Pod: Ages 3- 7 years. She uses sensory bins, fine motor art activities, and other hands on learning activities to follow state standards in reading, math and science.
Ashleigh is a Developmental Therapist when she is not teaching Caterpillar Pod, She has 7 kids, ranging from baby to pre-teen, and years of experience with a variety of abilities and ages.
Ashleigh has a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education as well as a Master's in Developmental Therapy. She is very good at differentiating education based off of individual's needs. She has 5 children enrolled in our programs.
HETAL PATEL
Chrysalis/Butterfly Pod Teacher
Hetal is teachings our Chrysalis/Butterfly Pod Pod: Ages 8-12 years old. Hetal uses high interest Social Studies and Science resources to engage learners in hands-on learning. Hetal tailors instruction to each individual learners needs.
Hetal has a Bachelor's Degree in Science, specializing in food and nutrition. Hetal is energetic and active.
Hetal is a mom of 2 adult children who have all had their share of difficulties in the classroom. Her youngest sons dyslexia and she has worked with him and his teachers to overcome obstacles in his education. Both of her sons are currently earning the Master's Degrees in varying fields.
Jen Schoenberg
Chrysalis/ Butterfly Teacher Pod
Jen Schoenberg is teaching Chrysalis/butterfly pod, ages 9-13. She uses a variety of curriculum resources to teach science and social studies in fun, engaging ways that challenge students to think critically and extent their learning into the real world. Her weekly lessons are always hand on and inquiry based.
Jen has 1 daughter who is in 4th grade. Jen has her Bachelor's Degree in Advertising and Design and is very dedicated to a hands on and positive learning environment.
